Household chemicals—such as paint, oil and cleaning products—shouldn't be placed in your kerbside bins or tipped down the drain or sink. There are several free drop-off services where you can dispose of them safely and responsibly.

Summerhill Community Recycling Centre

At our Summerhill CRC, you can drop off paint, oil, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, fluoro tubes, smoke detectors and batteries; year-round, free of charge.

Community Recycling Stations

We have a number of free drop-off points across our city for batteries, X-rays, fluoro light globes, mobile phones, printer cartridges and reading glasses.
