City Centre PlanKeep it local is a campaign launched by the Local Government Association of NSW and the Shire Association of NSW in responce to proposed changes to the NSW planning system.
The proposals put forward by the Minister for Planning have raised serious concerns. The Associations argue that:
- Communities will lose their right to have a say over local developments
- Council's role in the development process will be significantly reduced
- The funding of local infrastructure is under threat.
The keep it local campaign is designed to make communities understand the impact of these changes and encourage people to amend the legislation.
