A large sand wall was built along the shoreline to protect the work area in front of the existing seawall. The sandwall held up despite some heavy rain during May. The wall was continously reinforced with sand filled bags and concrete blocks to reduce the wave impact. When the weather improved, the first new concrete was poured. The concrete blocks were used to brace the formwork for the new concrete.
