Beresfield Golf Course is a first class public facility that attracts a wide range of players to the game - from youngsters through to the aged, including players with disabilities.
Beresfield Golf Course has been owned and operated by Newcastle City Council since 1982.
Location
The Course is located at the western gateway to Newcastle on land bounded by the New England Highway to the south and Anderson Drive, Beresfield to the north.
Course Description
Beresfield Golf Course is an 11 hole, well maintained public golf course. An 18 hole game is available by playing the first 7 holes again.
The wide fairways and short mown roughs minimise ball losses. The topography is generally flat and ideally suited to those players with mobility disabilities and medium fitness.
There is also a practice putting green.
Operating times
Beresfield Golf Course is available for social play seven days a week all year round.
- Weekdays from 6.30am till 6.30pm/dusk
- Weekends from 6am till 6.30pm/dusk

Cost of hire
Beresfield Golf Course offers some of the most competitive fees around. Golf carts, clubs and golf balls are available for hire. Please speak to the staff at the Pro Shop for the latest information and prices.
Affiliated clubs
There are five resident clubs at Beresfield Golf Course that are very active with their competition and social activities! There is a Mens, Veterans Club, Ladies Club, Monday Social & Sunday Social Clubs offering a great way to keep fit and socialise.

Club membership
Beresfield Golf Course has a strong membership base with five golf groups: Men’s, Ladies, Veterans, Monday and Sunday Social Groups, conducting competitions on a weekly basis. Total membership has reached 500 and growing!
