Community funding
Newcastle City Council encourages community leadership and collaboration to address local issues.
The Community Grants and Sponsorship program is offered once annually to non-profit organisations for projects with a community benefit.
Council services, including venue and mobile stage hire, are available to community groups through our subsidy program.
Council's Sports Partnership Program helps provide facilities to sporting groups to promote the development of sport.
Council also administers the Hunter Area Assistance Scheme (HAAS) and the Community Development Support Expenditure (CDSE) offered by registered clubs in the Hunter.
