Who is ECCS?

ECCS is the Environment and Climate Change Services Unit of Newcastle City Council.

It was formally known as the City Energy and Resource Management (CERM) and prior to that is was called the Australian Municipal Energy Improvement Facility (AMIEF).

ECCS has consulted with hundreds of local governments and businesses throughout Australia and internationally to provide practical information and strategies to profitably reduce resource consumption and resultant greenhouse gas emissions.

ECCS also runs programs for the local community to help residents, schools and businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save money.
