Newcastle Environment Plan

The 2003 Newcastle Environment Management Plan (NEMP) provides a set of principles, a process, and tools of action for Council to use in the management of our environment.

The Newcastle Environment Advisory Panel (NEAP)

NEAP advises Council on the development and implementation of its environmental strategy. (Environmental Strategy is defined as issues, policies, strategies, plans and programmes that relate to the environment and its relationships to those principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) defined in Local Govt Charter.)

NEAP meets on the second Wednesday of the month.

The Chair of NEAP is Cr Paul Scobie.
